Which is better American entertainment: American Idol or US Federal Govt?

And do you think Simon, Paula & Randy could do any worse a job running the US Govt than the current crop of Dems & Republicans?

1. W and Sanjay are about even in their lack of talent and their propensity for cluelessness for their respective positions. Somehow it seems fitting that completely untalented Sanjay keeps escaping the voters axe from a country that voted for W. twice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XMu3EHDsts

3. American Idol is good entertainment, but I trust running the gov't to elected officials.
4. Given the relative participation, it seems American Idol is more important to more Americans.

8. American Idol catches my attention, the government is scaring me. It's hard to stop watching either one.
