How can anyone living in the USA, say they are against the war in Iraq?

I say this because people are not very intelligent as to where there taxes go. I mean how do you think the military gets its money from, hmmmm, the average American citizen! I mean even a penny from person, 300,000,000 citizens to be exact, can really give funding. 3 million dollars off a penny from each citizen, 2 pennies, 3 pennies, etc. What about dollars, 2 dollars, 3 dollars. I mean how do you think factories and machinery is built in the United States most of it is pulled from our pockets. I mean how do you think infrastructure and our technology is built in the United States: on our money. The only way a citizen from the United States can say that they dont support the Iraq War is to say that they dont pay state, local, federal taxes! Which is illegal, unless your homeless. And I don't think there is many homeless people in the United States. Most have jobs and earn a living. So whether you like it or not. Every US citizen is a supporter of the war! Its pretty ironic.

  1. I believe they are referring to moral objection.
  2. Well if you look at it that way, than yea, all Americans are forced to support the war on Iraq. That's just how our society works. But, more and more are getting sick and tired of wasting billions of dollars on a lost cause. The things we could've done with all that money we've wasted on war. End world hunger for almost two decades. Immunize all the children in the world for the next 50 years. Provide clean water to every human being on the planet. Kind of shows where the U.S.'s humanitarian priorities are, huh?
  3. We don't give them the money. They take it.
  4. Do Some Research...funding for military has been receding for decades...maybe now 15% of the budget..oh, for you libs, think of it as a social program since it supports many deserving families...also, without this funding there soon would be no country to fund anything here... oh, to express your anti military self do not call or expect help if we ever get attacked again...that will show "em
  5. There are somethings you cannot put a pricetag on, like "MORALS'. Some how I don't think that's a major problem for you'
  6. I agree they mean moral, and if your morals are not for the USA get out. I might not agree with everything our President says or does but I back him. Liberals are ruining our country try backing your country and soldiers.
  7. yes i pay taxes cause not to do so would get me into big trouble maybe jail but i do not support the war i support the u s of a i was born in england my friend this tha greatist country in the world
  8. first of all, there's 754,000 homeless people in America, but that's a different problem. but back to the point. just because we fund the war doesn't mean we support it. taxes are mandatory,so its incorrect to call us hypocrite. we have to pay them even if we don't want to. it doesn't come down to money, its a question of morals. and i think hundreds of thousands of people dieing in a unfounded war is wrong. but that's just my opinion
