will a reentry code of 3 affect ability to be hired for Federal jobs?
I have an honorable discharge from the Navy, but a reentry code of 3 due to PTSD. I'm really interested in becoming a Foreign Service Officer. Will my reentry code affect my eligibility for hire?

- I don't think your military code has any effect on your application for federal jobs.

- Your reentry code is only relevant for return to active service. It keeps you on a lower status for IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve) callback. The only thing that the federal personnel office is looking for is the condition of your discharge... honorable is great. Anything other than honorable will require some explanation.
