false criminal background is being given when applying for employment,what can i do?
Have talked with the company that supplies this datta to the back ground check companies and they will not remove it and cannot find lawyer that wiil take case,federal trade commission is of no help either! who can help me???

- nobody wants to take it? I'm european and even i have heared about similar cases in the USA...
- talk to the judge in your jurisdiction and he can change the dockets back if they are wrong then call the agency and threaten them with a lawyer just take the name out of the phonebook the clerk of courts can change that also if the ssn is differant
- get news agencies invloved if you have proof of this happening. also, maybe take the company to small claimns court. you need to get publicity to get it fixed.
- I find it hard to believe that no lawyer will take this case. Keep searching. Check with your local Bar Association for referrals.
- I would try the FBI or the Bureau of Investigation of your state. If it's false, it might be because someone took your identity (happened to my mom--she keeps kids for a living and someone gave her name and she was booked for robbery). She had to contact the GBI (GA Bureau of Investigation) who contacted the FBI and she had to carry around this paper stating who she was and was not.

- Bull. Go to the FBI.ORG and tell them what is going on. Then call your Mayor's office and your Governor. - Is it just one company who does this? If so, call them and inform them that you are filing a suite for slander, then follow through. It can be tough to find a laywer, but it'll be worth it. Keep searching the yellow pages (or yellow.com) and press the company.
- You are suffering what is called "Identiy Theft" It is brutal and everyone is at risk!!!! Do you know that if someone uses your SS# to work in another state and its not you and you can prove it, they still make you pay for it!!! That SUCKS! My husband supposedly was given a 3000 dollar inheratance in North Carolina somewhere and he's from California and never has left the state and has no relatives there but we still had to pay the taxes on that! They didnt care even if we could prove it. This is where the American people need to start taking a stand against this crap! This is awful that someone can just take your SS# and do whatever the shit they feel like doing with it and make a good law abiding citizen pay for it! You have my utmost sympathy. I wish i could tell you how to fix it but im afraid you probibly never will cause someone else had lunch on you for the rest of your life. If its any concelation, nothing in life is FREE- Karma will always come back 10 fold you just have to have faith. I am so sorry this happed to you!
