Will a class A misdemeanor keep me from securing a nonsensitive minimum security position with the IRS federal

I HAVE BEEN FINGERPRINTED FOR A POSITION WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SIMILAR TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THOUGH I HAVE BEEN ARRESTED A FEW TIMES, CASINO LARCENY < 200 W/ 1 YEAR DISMISSED PROBATION. ASSAULT AND BATTERY FINES W/ 3 WEEKS TIME SERVED, AND DWLS W/ FINES AND TIME SERVED. IS THERE ANYONE ELSE WITH SIMILAR DISCREPANCIES IN THEIR FINGERPRINTS AND CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY GAINED FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT IN A NONSENSITIVE MINIMUM SECURITY POSITION? WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING IN AND WHAT DILLEMAS AM I FACING AT THIS TIME WITH THE REST OF THE APPLICATION/HIRING PROCESS. ANY AND ALL SERIOUS REPLIES PLS, ANY INFORMATION OR LEADS WOULD BE GREAT.

  1. I hate to be the one to tell you but your record speaks for itself. Good luck but be looking for something else. People have been turned down for employment by private security companies for less than that. The feds might hold you to a higher standard. I wish you well. PS. There are currently many openings in "Today's Army" that you might consider as they are not turning down applicants for anything these days..
