are there education or employment opportunities for florida felons in florida or the federal government?

- A general rule is that the federal government, any government agency for that fact, will not hire felons.
- no..not with a criminal record.
- Usually felons are not able to hold office or have a state job. Can they even vote? I seem to recall voting privileges are stripped away too. But of course, they can re-join the educational system as a student.
- yes, there are many education or employment opportunities for florida felons in florida. they are called day laborers. i'm sure there are quite a few florida felons in the federal government, they are called politicians
- Yes with a clean record
- Maybe. If you have connections. There're always loopholes in everything. Just need to find it.
- yeah but it kinda depends on what the felon did cuz very rarly do ppl guv jobs to felons.
- No, they do background checks and in some places extensive ones. I'd stay away from anything to do with education....sorry.
- &^&^&^ Yes there are opportunities abound. Not just in FL but throughout the US. If you have anything of vital importance ( The Grand Questions of Science, etc.) to the US, exceptions will be made for you. I would suggest that you might consider whatever legal entrepreneural skills you possess and try your hand at starting your own business, i.e. restauranteer, fashion designer, housing developer, religious advisor/teacher, etc. There are certainly lots of educational opportunities for people with criminal records.
- sad to hear that but they won't give you a job if you have criminal background...sorry for the bad news
- absolutely not no where in the u.s
- ? :)
- Of course you can get a job if you have a felony record in Florida, but not with the government. You can not get a job with the government in any state with a felony record. If a workplace does any business with the government they can not hire you or the government will not take their bid for the job. Now when a politician commits a crime they usually just give him a liter charge.
- most cases no they would not hire you, but if the crime is not savere like stelling a pack of gum from a gas stop... maybe... but just maybe. i hope it works out. Well at a post office, probly/maybe, thats working for the gorvernment
