1. That's a matter of opinion. I lived in Texas for 3 months and hated it. I am a Nyer through and through. But, that's my opinon.

3. The factors you listed don't have much to do with the quality of life. It's all about the money and the economy. For an engineer, the worst state to live in would be an agricultural, rural one with no industry, like Kansas for example. For a low-skilled laborer, the worst places would be those with low per capita GDPs, such as in the south.
4. Well personally, I really wouldn't like to live in Alaska. Don't get me wrong, it's an absolutely beautiful place and the people their are incredibly nice and hospitable, but its so remote and the weather can get real nasty real fast. Also there are bears everywhere, and bears aren't known for kindness.
5. i very difficult question well if your basing this strictly on opinion your going to have a lot of different awnsers. but if it were based on age i would say that living in sourthern nevada pretty much sucks as a teenager. especially in the lincoln county area. its made of a few small towns that offer little to the youth of any of those towns. the government has cut off most of our hunting areas so the chances of getting a tag as a youth is twice as hard. the legislature is made up of old bags of bones (75+) and they completely ignore the youth and anything that is suggested for their entertainment. the employment laws are pretty good but the jobs are lacking greatly. the schools might as well be cardboard boxes with large jars of paste in them. i dont know the nanny laws though. the driving laws in the town of caliente are if your related to a certain someone you can do what you want the fastest you can. and basically the towns is full of stereotypical racist facist religiously oppresive people.
6. The Worst of the Worst has to be All of the Right to Work States. There are no laws to protect workers. People are frequently held to be Blacklisted from Employment, in Kangaroo court style hearings and forget obtaining attorneys in Workmen's Compensation cases and obtaining hearing for College misconduct. The innocent party does not have a voice or a chance. Most attorneys are on retainer to the very people you are trying to obtain justice from. Forget about Social Security and Unemployment Compensation too. Nevada is at the top of the list and should be investigated! Nevada treats it's veterans like human cattle and would rather see them homeless than give them benefits through Social Security! Women and minorities don't have a chance..children don't fair much better and the school system k-college stinks! Try getting a hearing before the Dean of Students if you have been wrongly accused or your identity stolen through no fault of your own. they get the tar and feathers out! Truly backwards and hateful. there is No such Thing as a Good Samaritan in Nevada! I hope the entire system is Investigated and put out of it's misery! If you want the fast track to poverty, go to Nevada. Only the privileged obtain any form of justice. The rest are considered peons, to do their bidding. They love to see you grovel, suffer and punish you for speaking up for yourself or for being an intelligent person with a mind of your own. Michigan is running a close second, with their cliques and gestapo style handling of those who are not part of their inner loop.
7. Washington. Because high taxes, high crime, high real estate prices, bad schools with a pedophile teacher in every public school, lazy cops, bad traffic everywhere.......people here are very rude....
