  1. NEW YORK
  2. New socialist York has to be # 1..With the peoples republic of Kalifornia a close second
  3. Michigan was a total police state when I lived their 25 years ago. Only can imagine how bad it is now. Many people seemed to fall right in line with living as if that is OK. So I left and will never go back.
  4. California. Aside from the smog, violence, crime, and socialism, the problem with California is that it's full of Californians.
  5. Texas. Texans will get four more years of demented Republican leadership because an unqualified musician named Kinky Freidman ran and split the vote. To get an unemployment check in Texas, you go to an office, bend over, and pull down your pants. They have the highest dropout rate in the nation. They lead the country in nanny laws about smoking. They fine you 15,000 dollars if you've had one beer too many. They don't have state taxes; they just ream property owners. They've got political correctness all over the spectrum--tony liberalism in Austin; death threats against the Dixie Chicks in Dallas. Women are treated like scum, especially if they haven't popped for a boob operation. Texas has the largest percentage of residents in prison of any state in the Union. And the weather is really, really bad.
  6. Oklahoma with no doubt in my mind. And I have lived in seven different states. Government is slow, Prisons are the industry, one of the lowest scores in school testing. Our teacher's can't pass test that they are given. As far as political correctness, in Oklahoma the police take care of that and the court systems, to many kangaroo court Judges. Check out bubbaworld.com, Taxes are live able. Unless you are white or native American you are considered an out sider to this red dirt, wind blowing, 108 degrees in the summer gut wrenching state. My thoughts on where I am stuck,,,,,,,,,,,,, I always find a way out of here. It's my so called birth place, but after living in other states. this one sucks royally. Oklahoma is in the top five states for most divorces and teen pregnancy.
  7. Why don't you Google something important Something that reflects what our society really does value rather than what it says it values? "Infant mortality" and "by state" Tops on the list for the worst death rate for infants Mississippi and Louisiana California came in fifth best, as in fifth from the least number of infant deaths.
  8. OHIO! OHIO! OHIO! We were selected by the Guiness Book of World Records as the state with the most bans! Can you believe it? Our state taxes are very high and our government is extremely liberal. They want to control everything from smoking even in your own home if you rent, to not allowing children under the age of 18 to go tanning! I am not joking here. Plus, there are many many companies that will fire you or not hire you if you "use" tobacco products. Last November (06) we passed the strictest smoking ban in the US. If someone sees you smoking in your car with a child, they can call and report you as child abuse. It truely is a police state here and from what I can tell it is getting worse! Yet they can not figure out why companies and people are leaving this state in droves. I can because I am seriously considering moving myself! There are very little labor laws to protect workers. Employers can literally work you 8 hours without a mandatory break or lunch. Plus a company can fire you without just cause or reason. Just because they do not like you! When you work in Ohio, it is an "at-will" state. Factories are closing up and moving out because the Unions have run companies into the ground by wanting too much. There is no hope here and I would not recommend this state to anyone! Not all, but most of our State Legislature is corrupt and there are constant investigations, especially in our Worker's Compensation department. Our schools are failing miserably and rank amongst the lowest test scores in the nation. The hyprocrisy is rampant in this state. I am very sorry and sad to say, that I live in the worst state in the union. Poverty is horrible and the inner cities are a mess as well. I hope this answers your question for you! If you want freedom and a happy life, please stay away from Ohio!
  9. New Jersey
  10. Nevada for all of the reasons you have mentioned and then some! The Elderly are treated like dirt, children are forced to go to 9 month schools, especially if they are minority groups. Teachers are paid on average about $27,000 per year and then have to go in their pockets for supplies.Vets don't get a fair shake and try getting the mythical attorney to represent you...It does not happen! Fair is not in their vocabulary, unless it is referring to them and those in power! Behind them in the race is California, Michigan and Ohio. All of them are backward and will assure that you are equally broke and destitute.
