Do you think the european system of government superior to that of the USA?
The Democrats in the USA always praise that the europeans system is what the USA should move to, that is universal healthcare, full benefits for all workers, yet they seem to overlook the 30% unemployment and low wages of europeans, and the lack of jobs for its youth. Canada has universal health care and people die waiting in line for as long as two years before they get treatment.

- Do you think that there is a lot of thinly veiled conservative propaganda on Yahoo?
- yes, many of their govt. systems are superior because they usually have coalition govts. rather than the l-l-l-l-lame 2-party system of the USA. Don't people get sick of just having 2 real choices to vote for...Republican or Democrat? Yeah, you can vote independent or Green Party, but it's a wasted vote. People in the USA owe it to themselves to have a greater number of political parties with real power. Also, in Europe, corporations have less influence on politicians in general. In America, there's a LOT of greased palms in Washington. For example, the oil companies and others (such as Haliburton) work Bush and Cheney like a couple of cheap puppets on a Saturday morning show.
- Uh... 30 percent unemployment... that seems to be a blatant lie... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_unemployment_rate and I know several people that have died here in the U.S. because they couldn't afford proper treatment... I would rather be on a list than in a country where you have to be rich to get health care...
- I think they are relatively the same system separated by 100 yrs or so. We are steadily selling our souls and freedom for some politician's empty promise to make our lives easier or safer. We are doomed to obsolescence because our piglet class has one free hand with which to vote whilst they suck at the teat of government milk. It is too late. I can no longer recall the original author of the quote which I will now mangle: "Democracy is doomed once the non-producers learn that they can vote the money away from the producers." Seems like it was Ben Franklin - but I can't swear to it. While you are at it - read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. The prose is wooden, clunky tripe. But the ideas are powerful.
- "the" European form of gavernment? France? Czech? Netherlands? Portugal? Luxemborg? Vatican City? Transylvania? Europe is pretty large and diverse, containing dozens of seperate countries, with different forms of government.. I suggest you learn something about them before comparing them to the USA. And while you're at it.. learn some more about your own government as well.
- The US healthcare system is disgusting, and so is Canada's. Sweden is the only one I can think of that's half decent. High taxes, though.
