  1. Jobs give insurance. But cause your 17, i dont think you can buy insurance yourself. Good luck bro. ur 17 with a full time job? u didnt even finish high school? =\
  2. Your state should have a program for you to sign up for, or you can contact an independent insurer, but I would imagine they would cost more that what the state charges. Check on your states website, there should be info. there.
  3. youre probably eligible for medicaid, which is free health insurance (atleast until you turn 18)
  4. Being 17 you can apply for medicaid for yourself through kids connection which was in my opinion the best thing President Bush did for our children in our country. Go to your local Health and Human Services Department and ask for an application for Medicaid and they will help you fill it out. Best idea is to actually find a job that offers benefits. It's unfortunate now a days that parent's aren't properly providing for our children, but if you find a job with benefits, it's really going to be in YOUR best interest.
  5. You (actually, your parents - you are under age) can call any insurance agent and buy a policy, just like you can buy car insurance, life insurance, or house insurance. NO GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION IS REQUIRED!
