Refererendum or not??
Isn't it about time we let the Quebecers settle the problem of being their own nation?? Harper telling them that they can be a nation within a nation is just ignorant and an embarrassment to to us all as a nation.If you work for the federal government but live in ontario, where are your jobs going?? If you live in Quebec and are employed by same government, are you going to go work fo the Quebecois, as harper calls them. What will they pay you with , without a Loonie???.. your comments and answers are appreciated and thank you in advance... Did i forget to say i'm a bilinguial canadian from ontario!!! FYI: Gatineau (PQ) is less then10 mins away from Ottawa(ON) it used to be called (Ottawa)-Hull

- It's just not going to happen. There are parts of Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and New Mexico that have been trying to create their own state. These are sparsely populated areas that are oil rich. Basically, all of their tax dollars are going to the more densely populated areas to pay for schools, while they receive little to none of the money that they pay in. Nobody lets them budge. Bottom line is always the dollar.
- I am guessing you are French and a Quebecer? I really don't care if you separate from Canada because you French people hate Anglophones and everyone else who aren't French and their languages anyways. Good luck buliding your own little country.
- There have been referendums in Quebec (1980 and 1995) where people in Quebec voted for sovereignty. The Bloc will not be satisfied until they are their own nation. Harper went out on a limb on Wednesday announcing Quebec will be a nation within Canada. Separation will never happen. Quebec relies too much on Canadian Federal money....
