Ontario Budget what was in it for you ???

For me this budget stinck , seniors and income taxes have been again omitted. It is time we show them during the election this fall , they have to change the systems to have a taxes reduction according to standard of living every year, and make it a law , instead of always thinking about students. When I was young ,my parent paid for my education and for my children, I done the same .Parents and students should stop complaining and reduce the extravagance of allways buying the best when second best would do ,government would not be strap fo cash every years for students to spend thier cash on March brake ,going on holiday ,instead of using that money for College and University, And when one work during the summer 90 % of the cash should be going to the bank instead of drinking and partying at night and weekend , it would make a better world , I have 3 kids who have excellent education and all of it was paid by my wife and me working at time 3 jobs without holiday , GET It ?

  1. There was nothing in this budget for our household...we make too much money. I am getting sick and tired of getting shafted. Why do I have to pay more for OHIP than someone else simply because I earn more? I get the same services, I have to wait just as long. My wife and I are very educated ( and paid for our own educations) and earned what we have in life, yet, we get punished for making more money. Both the federal and provincial budgets gave nothing back to higher income earners. We pay more in income tax, OHIP premiums, property taxes, CPP and EU, than many others, yet we continue to be ignored by government...I earned what I have..no one gave it to me...
  2. My parents didn't pay for a thing with my post-secondary education. I worked, and studied. I have a BA and I also went to college. Now I am disabled and I live below the poverty line. Overeducated and stuck in a land of people that refuse to retire. You're lucky if you make enough money TO PAY TAX!!!!
  3. There was nothing in this budget for me. I am a paralegal who has been operating for ten years. Last year the McGuinty government passed a law that the Law Society who regulates lawyers will now also regulate paralegal. The law was passed despite opposition from every paralegal organization. Every government commissioned report on the subject says there is a conflict with the Law Society also regulating paralegals. The start up budget to regulate the first 1000 paralegals is 3.4 million dollars. That is only the initial budget, there are many other fees that paralegals (and their clients eventually) will have to pay. Those paralegals who are not driven out of business by the cost. I asked the government since they wanted this regulation to the 3.4 million. The result, no money was in the budget.
