yes, the job requirements are very clear.
It is not determinative all by itself, but it "matters." Job experience sometimes matters more. An honorably discharged soldier with MP experience would have a leg up over someone with no law enforcement experience. Think about it. If there are 50 people applying for 5 positions, all other things being equal, would you hire the criminal justice major or the italian literature major? A criminal justice major with MP experience, or one with no experience.
