Federal Background checks for employment: Do I need to report misdemeanor charges that were dismissed?
I pled no contest and went to a class. As part of the agreement the charge was dismissed. Should I provide this information on my background check for a job with the military?

- That depends on what the application says. If the question is "have you ever been arrested for a misdemeanor", the answer is yes. If the question is "have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor", then then answer is no.
- yes.
- for a federal background check than yes you would have to tell the truth and put yes.It will usually say "disposition" and you would answer dismissed of exponged whatever the case may be but yes you do.
