Can you seek employment with the government with a dismissed charge?
About 7 years ago when I was 17 I got caught with a fake Id,anyways I had a deferred sentence and completed the 1yr. probationary period and the charge was dismissed. Therefore, I was never convicted of a crime. (but I was charged) So my question is if I wanted to apply for a federal job say like the post office or ups or a federal prison am I eligible for employment? P.S. this is a misdemeanor crime

- You had a charge dismissed, therefore, you have no conviction, you should be fine. Another government worker? Jeesus. Have some pride, go into the private world.
