Can you pass a background investigation for federal employment while on probation?

I was charged with a misdemeanor and is just nervous that the probabation will call for a denial. Its not for a clearance just a pre-employment.

3. Most employers prohibit you from working there if you have a felony. But if it’s a misdemeanor, most employers will still hire you. Believe me, plenty of federal workers have misdemeanors in their records. The important thing is to be honest when you fill out the paper work. If you are not honest about it up front, you won’t pass background. They will reject you for lying.
