What jobs did the stimulus bill save? Other than government (state and federal) and union jobs?

They keep claiming they created 3 million jobs!!! Where are they. 3 million government jobs?

1. Construction.
2. Construction, education, medical and administrative positions. For construction projects, consider every position at a construction firm, from The CEO down to the secretary.
3. It is impossible to know for sure but every time people buy something they are providing money to pay someones wages. Even if all the money was spent on hiring or not firing someone who works for the government, their salaries were spent paying the wage on someone who was hired or not fired. This is also true of the money in the stimulus for tax cuts and unemployment insurance etc which did not provide a job but just increase peoples disposable income. There is a lot of disagreement on how effective it is and how best to stimulate the economy but in general Republicans favor tax cuts, and the Democrats like direct government spending and some people believe that it is not worth adding to the debt so the government should do nothing.
4. Many construction jobs are non-union. The stimulus bill gave money to hundreds of federal agencies, which used it in various ways. For example, the NSF funds research projects at universities.
5. You ask that as if keeping six Million Federal employees off the unemployment lines is a bad thing.
