I know this is not the right section, but is there any way I can get government assistance if..?

Hi, my 16 year old brother has been bugging to move in with me. Unfortunately my mom is a horrible person, who last year decided to become a whore and start popping more babies out. She now has 5 children with 4 different guys and is on the hunt for another one. no joke. My grandparents raised me most of my life, but unfortunately because my brother was 4 years younger they were not able to get custody of him at the time. Anyways, he is my only real FULL brother of the 5 kids and I love him dearly, unfortunately with having a young baby and being in school full time and living off just my boyfriends income, we are just getting by now. We would have room for him, but just not enough money for the extra booed, higher bills and any basic needs that he has. I know my dad still pays child support to that evil wench, but if he moves out would he still be required to pay that? Is there any government fund that can help? Yes my mother was abusive, yes my mother used drugs. there is a history with CAS. She is having all these kids so she can live off government assistance, child support, and child tax credit. How can i get help? I live in Ontario Canada. By brother is still in highschool and we live in a small town so there are not many places he could even get a part time job.

  1. I am not sure how things working in Canada but here in the usa you would need to get custody of him in order to start getting the child support and govt help. I am sure its somewhat similar in your country.
  2. have you mother sign a power of attorney of your brother to you, write it up saying she gives you custody of him and then have it notarised. Then bring it into the job center like place where they give food assistance and all that and explain the situation she will have to give up the child support to you and will have to pay you child support also and they will give him medical insurance and give aid for his food that he eats each month. if the option is available he may be able to get emancipated. not sure if you have that there. good luck
