Fema Employment

I am applying for a government job. What can they find out about my employment history?

For the most part, I know that previous jobs can only release certain bits of info regarding your previous employment. Specifically, start and end dates and title. I heard that government jobs can dig deeper and get more info. I was terminated from one of my jobs in my career history. Can they find this out? Also, will they ask character questions? I did not get along with my bigoted boss and I’m afraid he can say terrible things about me! Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. It depends upon the level of security your job requires. Most government jobs do require a deeper background check than non-government jobs. So to answer all your questions, "yes". (former US FED/DC/ SES)
