SC ranked 3rd in unemployment, Sanford denies stimulus money, but uses taxpayer money to see his girlfriend?

So even though the SC state government is laying off teachers and entry level government employees, it's not cool to use taxpayer money to help these people keep their jobs; however, it's perfectly fine for him to use taxpayer money for his week long, love fest, in Argentina. I don't understand this logic. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0609/24164.html http://www.bls.gov/web/laumstrk.htm mom with Letterman - Yea, people like you drop out. I usually disregard answers from people who don't even have a high school diploma. Come back after you get your GED.

  1. drop out rate in SC is high. Teachers are terrible. So money is a waste. Oh, 70% of population is white. 30% is black. You know who drops out, has babies, and goes on welfare or to jail as felons. Dems should make their drop outs refund the money taxpayers spent on the education they wasted.
  2. he is a pig that should be put down
  3. This is what having one's political future washed down the drain looks like.
  4. He was bad, but don't be a hipocrit. At least Sanford didn't deny it. Clinton, Edwards, Kennedy, Spitzer, McGeevy all denied it and were forced by the press to own up to their lies. Clinton was impeached for his lies, Spitzer was going to be impeached.
  5. The people can't win! I'm a Democrat, but let's be real. Every single politician is guilty of this. It's just that the Republicans try to beat us over the head with "family values" and judgment.
  6. Guess what? there are some of us who are still looking for the logic behind the Edwards affair...and when his wife was very ill to boot!
  7. FIRE HIM! I dont care he has his hoes but it should come from his pocket, not mine! FFS not as if he is on a low income bracket is it? Fire him!
  8. He was thinking with his little head. He tried to turn down the stimulus money because he thought he was in the running for '12. Not so much anymore.
  9. Effin politicians! They rob us blind (including that ditz in the W.H.).
  10. I didnt hear anything about using tax payers dollars, no to defend him or anything. But borrowing money wont help states in trouble.
  11. I guess it wasn't Obama that stimulated him. As Bill Clinton said...
  12. No more unethical representatives. If the affair was open, and he didn't lie about it, and his wife agreed to it, I would not say a word. However, anything that can be manipulated, any secret, makes him vulnerable, and thus, while he is in office, makes US vulnerable. No More Unethical Votes. Remove them, don't vote for them, don't vote for those who make excuses for them.
  13. Quote from your link: Gov. Mark Sanford has taken at least three taxpayer-paid trips to Argentina, however, it’s unclear whether he met his girlfriend during any of them. Was he wrong? Of course. Should you insinuate something is fact without proof? Absolutely not.
  14. I heard of this story yesterday but politico was still working on the story at the time .But Sanford should turn off the Light behind him because his political career is over .Maybe Sanford will feel the pinch of being unemployed like so many of his constituents in SC that he refuse to except stimulus money for like unemployment benefits and the crumbling SC school system .
  15. First of all, let me say that he was an idiot in not accepting the stimulus money. Just because he is sitting pretty with a stable job (at that time, anyway) doesn't mean others were not in peril. Don't you love that? When people have stability but want to deny that for others who have worked equally as hard? Ok.....his affair. To be honest, I could give a rats behind when a politician has an affair. I am not unrealistic. People have them. My problem is A) When that particular person has condemned such behaviors in others, making themselves a hypocrite 2) When they are a right wing family values puppet 3) When they use tax-payers money to par-take in such activities If they do none of the above, then I could give a rip, it is none of my business. With that said, he was guilty of all three........I don't understand that logic, either. He is a HYPOCRITE
