Can somebody please read my paragraph for history & tell me if it is what the question is asking?
Here is the question I was asked: The New Deal changed government's role in aiding our nation's needs. Explain how this Relief Recovery and Reform program, initiated by Roosevelt, sought to help thew nation recover from the difficulties of the Great Depression. Here is the paragraph I wrote to answer the question: President Roosevelt helped the nation recover from the difficulties of the Great Depression by promising "a new deal for the Americans." Roosevelt created many Agencies to free the Americana's from depression. FOr example, he provided the civilian conservation corps (CCC),which provided jobs for the young, unmarred men, to work on conservation and resource development projects. He also provided adaptions, disability payments and um employment benefits called the Social Security Administration (SSA). Roosevelt insured bank deposits up to 2,500 in the Federal Deposit insurance corporation (FDIC).Slowly, Roosevelt was beginning the American out of the depression and into freedom

- Your teacher will give you that answer.
- ya it is and well done for adding detail
- "Slowly, Roosevelt was beginning the American out of the depression and into freedom" doesn't make any sense. "Slowly, Roosevelt was beginning to dig American out of the depression and into financial stability" (for instance) would be better. "Roosevelt insured bank deposits up to 2,500 in the Federal Deposit insurance corporation (FDIC)." is also badly worded. Re-read them. What does it mean by "up to 2,500"? 2500 what?
- I think that whoever evaluates the answer you have provided will score it correct. You could write a novel regarding the details around the recorvery of the U.S. Great Depression but if this is for an entry level college course or even for high school your answer should be sufficient.
- ssa or FICA is not unemployment. His programs put money in people hands so that they could buy things. This in turn made jobs for people who made and sold them. Also the makers could buy from suppliers. People could pay rent and land lords could pay taxes. With the fdic insurance people could feel safe about putting money in banks and did. This gave bank the money to lend. You made a great start on the question NOTE: The question asked HOW the new deal helped Not what the programs were.
