2. It does not really matter,,,,any state or federal job will pay twice as much as the private sector and you will get 4 times the benefits. You will get cost of living raises and merit pay raise and all the overtime you want. In California the taxpayers have to guarantee your pension plan, so there is absolutely no risk. Then there is the public employee labor union will not allow you to get fired and some even get tenyor. Plus you get to retire with fully paid benefits at the age of 55. All on the backs of the private sector non-union employee.
3. Federal or state... I am an MP in the US army and plan on continuing my service as a state police officer after I get out.
