How much money does it cost to get a employment lawyer in canada?
I got fired last week and my ex-employer owes me money. He is just unwilling to give me that money so I think i have to get a lawyer to solve this. I heard from my friend that it doesn't cost any, but I highly doubt about it. Does it really not cost anything? and if it does, is there any other way I can get my money from my ex-employer? I am gonna leave this country in 2 months so labour board might not be help cus I know it takes longer to get help from the government. p.s. - As far as I know you have to go through the labour board to start? It didn't take that long when I sued my employer, I'm sure it was less than a month.
