Federal police agency goes overboard and terrorizes kids?
I read a recent story(in an L.A.-area newspaper) about a group of schoolkids from California who were on a tour of the White House grounds, but they didn't expect the Presidential limo to drive up in front of them and stop, but then the Secret Service agents suddenly got VERY angry, pulled out their Uzis(or whatever they use now) and pointed them at the now-terrorized kids and yelled repeatedly:"GET BACK OR ELSE ALL OF YOU WILL BE SHOT AND KILLED!!!"... The kids(and their parental chaperones) weren't even approaching the limo, and now they're screaminig and crying as the agents went further in their "terror campaign"...physically(one parent said "violently") escorting the kids away from the parking area at gunpoint! Now the kids and parents have said that they will NEVER visit Washington(DC) ever again due to the agents' handling of the situation...and they're too afraid to ask for an apology due to the continued threats by the agents afterwards... Sure, the agents have a more serious job to do(now that Obama's in office), but to make "terrorist threats" upon a group of defenseless elementary-grade-schoolers is, IMO, going too far... Your thoughts? When I said it was in an L.A.-area newspaper, it was a really small regional paper...and the mayor is outraged over the incident... Please do NOT doubt this story! I should've mentioned that this small-town newspaper has NO website...and not EVERY paper(small-town or otherwise has a website!)...

- I hope you mean NO disrespect whatsoever to the U.S. Secret Service by asking that question...BTW, that IS a valid question, but hopefully YOU don't get in serious trouble w/ them... Here's my say, Baldwin: Personally, if I were one of them and realized what my fellow agents were doing, I'd call for ALL of them to "stand down" due to the ages of the schoolkids... Most federal police agencies here in the U.S. are still reeling fromo the image of the "stormtrooper" INS(now ICE) agent physically beratin the stuffing out of Elian Gonzales' uncle as he successfully rips Elian from his arma...but now that we're post 9/11, the FedCops nowadays have to more vigorously protect the country from "ANY enemies, foreign AND domestic", and they think that pointing their guns at a group of schoolkids at the White House while on tour is now considered "standard procedure"...like heck! Personally, I'd offer a sincere and complete apology from the agents who pointed the guns at the kids, for they'll now be forever traumatized as adults in the future, and tell their kids about why the Secret Service HATES kids visiting the White House(of course, the ONLY exception is on "Easter Monday", during the Egg Roll on the South Lawn)... Good luck, Baldwin...
- you are lying. doesn't even make a good story for Your friends. try doing something constructive instead of scaring a bunch of kids.
- Oh please, you're so full of shit.
- My thoughts are this never happened. If it did, the media would be all over it, as they are never far from the President. Additional: So let me get this straight... the story was only picked up by a regional newspaper on the opposite end of the county, and the 20 or 30 national press that travel with the President ignored it? The least you could do is post the name of the newspaper, so I can order a copy.
- The story that he just mentioned is true... To those two bozos who claimed "Rush Limburger" privileges and called him a LIAR, shame on YOU! I believe your story, Baldwin! Hopefully the kids WILL eventually get their apology from the agents! May the kids get some kind of counseling in order to prove that not ALL federal police officers in the U.S. are bad and "anti-child"!...just too overeager and rambunctious to "do their sworn duty"... Go for it!
