  1. Most of the jobs in natural resources and wildlife are government jobs. So you are getting all the government benefits, medical, dental, pension, holidays, union protection, never get fired, etc. You could be a ranger in the park or forest, work with wild animals in the hospital, or work as a scientist on the science station in hundreds even thousands locations around the world, which research different natural phenomena. You could be geologist, zoologist, archaeologist, seismologist, and many other ists available. There are very few private jobs in these fields, as of yet, as the field it self not as profitable for private corporations to invest capital. As far as I've heard there is growing need in people who will work in green technologies, but this is as far from real natural resources and wildlife as it can be. It is in some way protects nature, many thinks, but work itself is mostly in chemical field and/or cubicle workers.
  2. I agree with the above answer. I am studying ecology and biodiversity and will eventually work for the government in conservation. To get a job it is important to have had experience, even more than your degree. Volunteer work is the best. The reason I say this is because jobs like these are very hard to get as turnover is low, and there are limited numbers of jobs, and extra work you have done will help you stick out from the pack. Also you need to have a masters, PhD in Science to get any really good paying jobs in this sort of area, and to practice reasearching (your own research) Help I hoped, this info helped me decide my career path.
