Do I have a good shot at a federal job? (FBI NSA CIA etc)?

I'm a 24 year old guy. I speak fluent English(obviously haha) and Bengali and decent French. I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and I was in the US Army Reserve for 6 years as 31B Military Police. I was deployed once to Iraq for a year. I have no criminal records or anything. I'm in outstanding mental and physical shape. I'm also married. Do I have a good shot at landing any job with the FBI, NSA, CIA, or any other federal agency that I haven't listed? Also I don't want to move around the country alot. That's not a requirement but it would be nice to have. Is there any way around that? I know federal agents get moved around alot. Thanks!

  1. In normal circumstances you would have a good chance at federal job. However with the highly partisan stimulus bill just passed - the directives will be to award democrat donors only.
  2. You would most definitely be qualified to become a federal agent or employee in any of the above agencies. Your education qualifies you for entry level positions and your military experience can only help more. Unfortunately, you will most likely move around for the first 2-3 years. This is true for majority of applicants and there's no way of going around it. The only way you may have a chance of securing a position at a dormant place is if you considered U.S. Border Patrol or Forestry Police. One other caveat is the initial 4-6 month training most likely away from your home. A higher level of education, like a Masters would, in most cases, put your application above and beyond anyone else. One other plus is the foreign language capability - that's golden.
