Am I eligible for a state or federal job? Background check inquiry?

Hello. I'm looking into applying for a state job as a disability evaluation analyst. The problem though is that when I was 20, I plea bargained to a Felony DUI with stipulation that after a year it would be reduced to a misdemeanor after completing the required programs. I got it reduced and I'm now 22 years old and looking for a career. Would I be auto DQ'd?

1. As long as you don't live in Arizona you should be ok.
2. no, you will not be automatically disqualified, though they may take it into consideration, even if it's just subconciously. just be sure to be very honest and upfront about it. the type of job matters too; e.g. they probably aren't going to give you a security clearance in the near future.
