Which one of these diagonally opp statements are correct in immigration for an international student to canada?

Hai. I was trying to apply for a student visa to canada under the PNP of Ontario . I ran into the below quoted statement from the website of the canadian Govt and is at a loss to understand as to how this is possible " In order to apply to Opportunities Ontario as an international student, students must: Have completed at least half of their studies in Canada, and have graduated or will soon be graduating from an eligible publicly funded Canadian college or university (students must send proof of graduation with their application). Have completed a minimum of a two-year diploma or degree program, while studying on a full-time basis. One-year post-graduate degree programs and certificate programs, which require a previous degree or diploma (which may have been obtained abroad), are also eligible. Assuming that I have studied only up-to 10th which is taking 10 years should I have completed 5 years of studies in canada? If I am from India, how CAN I complete 5 years of education out of 10 years in Canada unless my father was in the employment of the indian embassy in Canada ? Then I need to study post graduation again for two more years and then try for the opportunities of Ontario? MOST IMPORTANTLY THE AUTHORITIES GRANTING A STUDENT VISA in india ARE INSISTING PROOF AS TO HOW THE STUDENT SHALL COME BACK TO HIS HIME COUNTRY AND THEY WANT A STRONG HOME COUNTRY CONNECTIONS TO BE PROVED AND THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA ITSELF IS ON THE OTHER HAND SAYING -- COME TO CANADA, STUDY AND APPLY FOR THE IMMIGRATION. IS IT NOT TOTALLY A CONFUSING AND HYPOCRITICAL SITUATION AND HOW ONE WOULD SUCCEED TO GET A STUDENT VISA AND TEHM SUCCESSFULLY IMMIGRATE. CONSIDERING THE NUMBER OF QUESTIONS ON THE INTERNET IN THE DIFFICULTIES FACED BY THE STUDENTS IT APPEARS TO BE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK TO STUDY IN CANADA AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AND THEN APPLY FOR IMMIGRATION. iT IS ONLY CONVINCING THAT IT SHALL REMAIN A FUTILE EXERCISE MAKING YOU POORER BY A FORTUNE THAT YOU WOULD BE STUDYING IN THAT WONDERFUL STUDIES OF CANADA. 3. ok your first mistake is that you cannot apply for a student visa under the PNP program. they are two totally different things. Student visa is a student visa. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study.asp PNP is the provincial nomination program for permanent immigration. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp Now to answer your questions. Assuming that I have studied only up-to 10th which is taking 10 years should I have completed 5 years of studies in canada? Generally its 12 years at school and anything over 12 years will include university or post secondary education of some sort. If I am from India, how CAN I complete 5 years of education out of 10 years in Canada unless my father was in the employment of the indian embassy in Canada? Not being from India (sorry) dont understand the question. basically if 10 years of education is your 10 years of school (as in elementary and high school) then you have a high school diploma and nothing else. Then I need to study post graduation again for two more years and then try for the opportunities of Ontario? I dont know about 2 more years. It would help if you said what post graduation study you have already done? But you can apply to a university or college to finish your studies in Canada and then apply for a study permit to do so. THE DIFFICULTIES FACED BY THE STUDENTS IT APPEARS TO BE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK TO STUDY IN CANADA AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AND THEN APPLY FOR IMMIGRATION. It used to be difficult but not any more. There is now a new category, whereby you can study in Canada on a study permit, and then after you graduate you can get a work permit for 2 years and then once you have completed the 2 years, you continue working (on the work permit) while you apply for PR status from inside Canada. This new category is called Canadian experience. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/index.asp if you are planning to study in Canada, you need to be accepted to a school in Canada, have enough money already saved to support yourself while you are studying as you will NOT be entitled to use the free health care system. It takes about CAN$2000 per MONTH to be able to live comfortably in Canada, and this has to be for as long as your course lasts.
