- They are great because of the benefits you get. the thing is that you cant depend on most jobs to help you with retirement anymore so its better if you set up direct deposit and have the bank transfer a small amount of your check into a saving account.
- The govt is corrupt. Govt jobs are best if you can get yourself a piece of that pie. Try to get a job someplace where you can get kickbacks, shady deals, and under the table stuff going on the side. Then who gives a rat's a$$ about how much they pay? Just take advantage of the system to the bone.
- Most Government jobs offers great benefits and retirement plans.... some offer good pay. they use to be a very secure place to work... get a govt job and you had a job for life until you retire. Almost guaranteed. not true anymore. things have changed.
- only losers work for the government. Can you name one thing that the government does well? The private sector will pay you what you are worth. If you want more pay, make yourself more valuable. Government jobs will not give you the opportunity to be anything more than mediocre. If that's good enough for you take a government job. The benefits and retirement benefits can be bought on the free market. If you make lots of money, you can buy your own insurance and save for your retirement. The government is already too big without you.
- government jobs are the best and they do have retirement and good benifits... Good luck Grant M in Pennsylvania
