  1. The same way as normal people.
  2. The same way civilians do. The best place to apply would be on the military installation. Exchange commissary, the clubs, NCO Officer.
  3. you apply just like anybody else.
  4. Visit: http://acpol.army.mil/employment/naf.htm This is the Army's website for non appropriated funds jobs. These are jobs that Congress has NOT set aside funds for. These are usually jobs like childcare services, ODR, etc (organizations that generate funds to pay the salaries of the employees). Anyway, you can search by location. Fort Bragg is huge, so you shouldn't have too much of a hard time. and http://www.usajobs.gov/ US Jobs is the official job site for the federal agencies. So you can look up DOD, Department of the Army, etc. You can also search by location. On both of these you are going to have to create an account and online resume. *Tip: When applying for a job, read the job description and highlight key words. Make sure these key words are in your resume. The first screening is done by a computer, so if it doesn't find these key words on your resume, you won't even be considered. (You are allowed to post multiple resumes.) Also, find out where the Army Community Services is in Fort Bragg. Usually, they offer career counseling. Good Luck!
  5. https://chart.donhr.navy.mil/ This is the Navy HRO website, but it looks like you are at an Army base, in which case the answer is already provided. Be careful how you word your resume, as all federal resumes are searched with an electronic program that scans for certain words within the resume. Search for the job series you are interested in - i.e. Office Automation would be clerical, Finance Technician would be accounting. Use those job descriptions to write your resume. Many, many of the government jobs are not going to be specifically announced, especially lower paygrades, GS-7 and below for the most part. Those are in the system as continuous hire and open year round for supervisors to pull resumes because they are usually high turnover. Be forewarned - you only get to use spousal preference if you are within 90 days of transferring someplace or 180 days after arriving at a new duty station. Veterans and disabled vets get preference over everyone and it can take years to get into the civil service sector. If you happen to be a student, be sure to note on the resume as well as list pertinent college classes that you are enrolled in under "other work information."
