Issue on job application I would like to mail....?

I would like to mail this via the post office, though the following from a application baffles me....what do they mean here? "The use of a postage-paid government agency envelope to submit a job application is a violation of Federal laws and regulations. Applications submitted in postage-paid government envelopes will not be accepted?

  1. use your own stamp and envelope
  2. Don't use an envelope that has a prepaid postage from another place. Just make sure you use your own personal stamps or have the post office postmark it. Also, send your application 'return receipt' - that way, you'll be notified that your application was received.
  3. That means you cannot use the GOVERNMENT's PRE-PAID envelopes to mail your application. You can use your OWN envelopes and postage without fear. (in other words, you buy the envelope and postage, you don't steal it from a government agency.) The USPS is no longer a government agency. So any envelopes and postage you buy from them is going to be fine.
  4. This means that you have to use an envelope that has no postage on, and that you the applicant has to provide the postage i.e. the stamp. The only time that you're permitted to use a preposted envelope is if that company provides an envelope for you to use regarding the positions that they offer within the company. This is basically what it means.
  5. what there saying is dont use a pre postage envelope to mail a application b/c its against the federal laws but ur own cute little envelope and buy a cute rubber ducky stamp then send the fucking application
  6. Do not use someone else's postage being that it was already paid. It is against the law. Buy your own stamps.
