Civil service jobs - is there an age limit for applying for state and federal jobs?

1. I have never seen an age limit for state jobs, but there may be for law enforcement positions. I know I have seen age limits for law enforcement federal jobs. I think it is 35 or 37 years, but I am not totally sure. The job description will definitely tell you. Some of them are long and detailed, but if there is an age limit, it will say so.
