1. definitely.... govt. jobs provide u an assurance wich is not so in d case of private business...u r granted wid adequate amount of security for u n ur family wich is hard to get in private business..
2. May be best for security and stability but not for growth.
3. Well.. can you be more specific.. are you worried about the trend in s/w companies/ MNCs or worried about the private sector in general ? You don't have to worry about the private sector in general. Core sectors.. I mean the non- IT sectors are always a safe bet. But, the IT sector is definitely not a safe choice.. at least for now. The Multi National corporations depend heavily on the US Markets.. and with fears of recession in the US.. I don't think its clever to get into a MNC, only later to find yourself axed the next morning. But.. Govt. jobs are not a plenty! you could face cut- throat competition. But.. go for it.. its the safest bet! . Equip yourself and try to find a place in the profit making govt. institutions. Try for Navratna PSUs.. like BHEL, BEL.. NTPC.. or mini ratna PSUs like NLC..
