Has the United States become a nation of hypocrites?
We import our style of democracy, yet our Civil Liberties and Civil Rights are eroding. The 1st Amendment hardly protects whistleblowers or those who question why people rob Americans blind with laws that protect the powerful and wealthy. Americans can get fired for almost anything "At-Will Employment." All aws to protect ordinary US Citizens are extremely weak. The FBI also harass those that dare to oppose when the US Federal Government does wrong. Please read my site and you decide. http://www.myspace.com/americaneedsdissenters My site explains the Dark side of the US Federal Government. Become aware of what can happen to you! Some of you think I am joking. If people had asked questions we would not have problems in Iraq. Protesters are harassed.

- become??? i thought that's what it was built on....American style freedom, hypocrisy and paranoia.
- no we are all different
- human nature is to be selfish and hypocritical. We are born evil and unless we try to learn the lessons of life (respect for others) we will stay evil. Freedom means the right to be good or evil. Hopefully a free country allows its people to choose to be good, more than evil.
- LOL! It's laughable. They claim it's the land of the free, and just look at the horrors that were present during the fledgling periods of this country...----> slavery- Negroids had no rights during this period (liberty and justice for all???, puhleeease), many women didn't have any rights, the KKK was allowed to flourish, 75% of the Indian population was annihilated while land was pillaged, stolen, squatted on, etc... The above can even be related to today. We claim no other country should have WMD, and yet if anyone has weapons of mass destruction, it's the United States--and we use them, you just don't hear about it on the news, because our government doesn't want us to know. The U.S.A. has always been hypocritical and racist.
- no it did not! nothing's change! it has been the same ever since.
- People all over the world can be hypocrites. Governments in every Country can be corrupt and disfunctional. Human and Civil Rights are denied and exploited evrywhere. Non of these actions are an " American phenomenon".
- You hit the nail on the head.. It has not just become; it has always been a nation of hyppocrites so people can easily make merry and make as much money as they want.. Because trust me; in today's world happiness can be bought...lol
- I agree. More and more this country has gone to pot. Too bad people wouldn't pull together. We're a nation of weenies and no one will stand up to our stupid government. Down, down, down we go. I feel bad I helped bring my kids into this mess. All I can do now is make it the best I can for them.
