What laws cover Employment Discrimination based on disability and religion in Federal and State Court?
Public Comments
- Disability discrimination in employment is covered by Title I and, for public entities, Title II of the ADA. For employers receiving federal funds, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act also applies. Discrimination based on religion is covered by the same federal civil rights laws that prohibit discrimination based on race, national origin, etc. Each state has its own employment discrimination laws.
