Can you help me figure out some other job options?
My father is looking for a job. He is in his early 50's. He has worked as Correctional Officer for 20 years and he got fired. He has training in security monitoring and has experience investigating gangs. Besides security guards and other federal jobs, what other job options does he have?

- That's rough after 20 years. I can honestly sympathise. If it is of any help, tell Dad to check with some of the major department stores, particularly Home Depot, Loews and the like for their Loss Prevention Department. I am a Corrections Officer in a max prison for the last 19 years and I started working part time for Loss Prevention at Home Depot a couple of years ago. With my training, it was a natural and they were quite glad to hire me. I average about 6 thieves a week just working 4 days part time. I am sure the pay will be far less than what Dad was getting at top scale at the prison, but it is honest work and he is qualified for it. Best of luck and I hope this is useful to him.
