Even though the fuel prices are unstable, we need relief from the additional federal and state tax on fuel that we are paying. It is unfair that the government is benefiting from the high price of fuel by getting a percentage of what we are paying. Relief is needed so that we can get to our jobs, without jobs there is no federal and state payroll tax to "fuel" the government. I am not saying we should not have tax on fuel, just not the ADDITIONAL tax being calculated since fuel prices have risen to extreme and our government is benefiting from the tax when we can not afford to get to our JOBS! This is "something" that can be done for RELIEF for millions of working class people. My calculation is that the federal and state tax should only be on $1.00 per gallon of fuel flat and exempt us from tax on anything above $1.00 per gallon.
