What is the best road to federal law enforcement in the Air force?
I am in The USAF dep. I have not recieved a job yet and I put security forces as my first selection. I am joining the air force for a few reasons including to serve my country and to gain some discipline. The main reason is for experience to get me into federal law enforcement like the FBI. My issue is that the security forces afsc only requires a 33 general asvab score and I scored a 77 overall score. I still have a chance to change my job. Would security forces be good for me or should I look into another afsc? If yes, then what other afsc can help me with law enforcement? If you payed any attention to the question theopholis then you would have noticed I am in DEP. I don't know of any one in DEP who has not gone through meps and taken their first oath.

- The nearest freeway to the MEPS station. You failed your first test. I was just adding some humor to your question of the best "road" being the freeway. Don't be such a grump. Many times a person with a wayward attitude like that make terrible officers. Kind of like officer Bubba. If I may, I would encourage you to go for the best you can get. Don't trust yahoo answers for all of your info. Research it every way possible. The best is to find someone in the actual job you are looking for. And last but not least, keep a sense of humor and don't take everything so seriously. Life is too short.
- SF is for dummmies..... Go do intel.... any 1N AFSC
- Here's a link to the FBI website with special agent qualifications. Also a link to Air Force job descriptions. I think instead of security forces, unless you just want to do local law enforcement, pick something in intel or language (Farsi or Arabic). Also while you're in the service work on getting your bachelors degree.
