How will a DUI affect my chances of getting a government job?
I got a DUI when I was 19, nearly 7 years ago...haven't messed up since except for a few speeding tickets, etc..... I'm trying to get into a government job, preferably federal... nothing requiring too high of a security clearance. what are my chances? will this hurt me more in just getting accepted for the job, or if I can get the clearance will that be the only big hurdle...?

- your would most likely need to obtain a restricted security clearance. Depending on the seriousness of it, it sound not be too much of an issue. Make sure you tell the truth on the forms tho, if you are dishonest they will find out.
