Should the US Justice Department investigate the DNC & Howard Dean?
Perhaps this is a great, living lesson in US Government -- should our "fair and balanced" Judicial System address the legitimacy of the DNC's selective employment of state primaries? Would the Dean and the DNC throw away all the Democratic votes from Michigan and Florida if their presumptive candidate hadn't lost those states? Good points! but.... 1. What about write-ins 2. A candidate not investing campaign resources into a state should not preclude the legitimacy of the people's voting. That's Obama's problem, not the little people's problem. Gamoonba -- OK, but shouldn't the party nevertheless remain beholden to the spirit of the Constitution?

- dont forget that obama was not on one ballot and the other he did not campaign. Edit: he did not campaign because it was not going to make any difference in the overall picture, if it would have mattered then obviously he would have campaigned
- In determining whether a party has the legal right to set the rules for their own parties, i do think the judicial system has the obligation and jurisdiction to make any judgements. Michigan and Florida lost their delegates before the first ballots were cast, the presumptive candidate at that time was Hillary Clinton, and as a running democrate she agreed to barring those delegates from counting toward the election.
- Why, they are corrupt and everyone knows it.
- Well, let's impeach Bush and indict him and hid administration first. Really we're talking killing crimes when we talk of Bush so let's get down to brass tacs here first rather than republicans pointing figures at democrats. Where's your priority, Fuzzy? http://gideontrust.org
- No. Primary rulemaking is up to the political parties and not a federal agency.
