My father and I want to start our own business rebuilding muscle cars?
My father and I have rebuilt a couple of cars and made money at it it's how we've been making a living this past summer. I buy a muscle car in california for cheap then trailer it back to new hampshire where he lives we rebuild it and then sell it for more than we paid and put into it. We would like to start doing this in a legal sense so it's our actuall jobs acording to the government and pay taxes and all that fun crap. Can any one help me on What we have to do Right now we just want to continue doing it out of our garage. I don't only buy them in cali but any usually rust free state. Will we need a dealer license or what any one have any idea as to what we need to do?

- Contact your local SBA and they will have the information you are looking for. Also you will need to contact your city goverment office for a local business license and they will also tell you what you will need to apply for. Another option is Core they consult for free.
- Go to http://www.score.org/index.html and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information in the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to discuss starting your business. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.
- Your city hall should be able to provide you with the necessary "to do" list of any licenses you may need. It is best to check ahead of time if your home is zoned both residentially and commercially. (Some jurisdictions do not allow work to be conducted out of the home).
