Is there a difference between State Government job and a Federal Gvt job?
Do they both mean that it's a Government Job ? and you work for the Gvt?

- Well, if you work for the state, you work for the local state government. If you work for the Federal government, then you work for the national government. You work for a government either way, and it's a government job either way, but one is for the whole country, and the other is just for your state.
- yes different pay scales and rules and applying
- Civil service is civil service; you can hop from one job to the other. The only difference is the color of the money. Federal pay checks from a different source than state pay checks.
