I AAFES considered a federal government job, and do you get thje white DOD id card with it.?

I am leaving the army and have a job at aafes and am wondering if my federal gov time in the army and my time at aafes will combine like a federal government job, i also wonder what kind of benifits is provided to people who work at aafes, shopping wise and health wise. please aswer this question only if you are sure of your answer, and if you can provide a source were i can read more about the answer. thank you.

1. You will still have an ID card to get on base. It will be a "CAC" (common access card) that says "Civilian" on the front. I currently work for AAFES, and you'll have "limited access" to the BX/PX. This means you'll be able to buy anything except tobacco or alcohol. You'll also have access to certain MWR facilities such as the gym or bowling alley. I think some of these are dependent on which base you work at, and the policies they each implement. You may have more or less access than others...but I personally have access to all of the above facilities, as a Civilain working for AAFES. You will NOT have access to the commissary, however. This is strictly for military members and their dependents.
2. I work for aafes in ft.bragg, NO i don't understand why people think aafes is a goverment job... is not !!! we don't get payed enough and we get treated like crap !!! and no is not going to give you federal gov time working for aafes !!! you will only be wasting your time doing that !!! i'm not being mean is just the truth !!! yes you will get a DOD card but under paygarde it is blank !!! if it was a goverment job under paygrade it will show something for example G-4 or G-9 !!! in order to get any benefits from aafes you have to be regular full-time or regular part-time. INT or TEMP don't get any at all. You also work on holidays... goverment jobs are closed during holidays !!! we are always open even if there is a flood warning or tornado !!! AAFES is just like walmart except we can volunteer to deploy with our soldiers in iraq or overseas !!! hope you like your job cuz i know i don't is just helping me pay for college !!
