How do you succesfully apply and get the Federal Job?

There must be something more to it, then just to go ahead and apply online. So how do you succesfully apply and get the Federal Job? Any tips?

I too am will be looking for a federal job once I graduate school. I suggest the first thing you do is decide with what agency you want to work with. There's ATF, FBI, DEA, ICE, and more. But go to www.usajobs.gov. An agent from the DEA gave me the website when he came and spoke to my law class. Good luck!
It really helps if you know someone working there who can give you a good reference.
