Which site to go to apply for a STATE (CA) or Federal Jobs?

I've heard the benefits are good. Pls send me the link and do you know if I need to pass any State or Federal Exams before I can apply? I'm a Software Engineer and currently working at a private company for 15 yrs. Sorry, Google website is banned at work. But yahoo is not :-).

1. Everyone should always try google before asking a question http://www.ca.gov/Employment/Jobs/FindAJob/WorkingForState.html Google banned at work? That's crazy, you should stage a revolt!
2. usajobs.gov thats all federal jobs...exams and requirements are different for each job
3. you can also try to work for edd .
4. usajobs.gov or try your state web site - look for employment links. But I really have to say you should not be job hunting at work. If they are saavy enough to block websites, they may very well be monitoring internet use and this could lead to termination and bad references. Use your home computer or your local public library at lunch.or after office hourse.
