I applied to a few Federal jobs over the past 2 weeks. How long does it take for them to respond usually?

The jobs are on USAjobs.gov. Is it normal to wait a while to hear anything about a job from the federal government?

You can expect to wait up to a month or more. And then when you get interviews...scheduling them will take several more months depending on the position. The Fed Govt is known for its very very slow hiring process, so don't be discouraged.
