is it risking leaving my job and migrating to canada to work in a hotel but going first as group of tourists?
This is because i appied for a hotel job as an administrator but i was told that due to government restrictions, i get more people to go with me so that the prospective employer processes our visa as a group of tourists to canada but then then when we reach there, we can then start the work. How stable will this job be and what happens if we are discovered? Am asking because i have a stable job in my country already and dont want to risk chasing after wind!

- Why does that sound like a scam?? Maybe it's just me
- For me it is not a good idea because you don't know what will gonna happen when you'll be taking risks.
- Dont even think about it, !! you wont catch the wind, but the immigration service will catch you, lock you up, and thow away the key for a couple of years, then kick your sorry ass back to wherever you came from , consider that!!
- If you do not have a work visa for Canada or other legal status allowing you to work in Canada----then it would be illegal for you to work in Canada. If you are just hoping that everything works out once you arrive in Canada then don't do it. It can take months, even years, to get status and what will you do in the meantime. Go about the proper channels for acquiring status in Canada.
- Hang onto your stable job in your country, please. I would be very suspicious of anybody that suggests things might be easier for you if you "go as a group". I agree with the first responder, it sounds very much like a scam! Stay put! It's safer for you there!!
- To me it sounds illegal - because you are entering as visitors and then working with no work permit. I doubt that the manager will want to go through the hassle of asking the government for permission (which is what he has to do to hire foreign workers) to get work permits for everyone. It costs him a lot of money as well.
- This is a known SCAM! Surprised you do not know of this. First they ask you to pay certain amount. By telling you to get more people, a group, you are helping them to get more victims - your friends, family. People that trust you, people that will be difficult to get by the SCAMMERS. They are just after money. They do not care what happens to you. Avoid them for your safety. It seems you believed them. Here are the snags - they do not have a website. If they do, it will be on a free host / sever. That way they can not be TRACED. If they pay for a domain name with their Credit / Debit Card, chances are that they can be traced. They do not want that. So they settle with free hosting account with obstructive ads on their sites - not professional at all. An unwanted chioce if you like. Same with their email address. Always a free email account for same reason as above. Hope you heard my advice. Do not let them destroy you. You can apply for permanent residency to go to Canada from you country. Canada is one of the few countries that welcome immigration - controlled immigration though. Hope this helps.
