how to get a government job?
i would like a government job because i need good benefits (i heard government job have the best benefits)...how do get one? i live in ocean county NJ

- go to www.usajobs.com
- Get a college degree (in most cases) and sign up to take your civil service exam.
- www.usajobs.gov is the only official job website for federal jobs. Your state has an workforce agency type of commission - access state of New Jersey website, search for employment. Government jobs are more reliable, with good benefits. And for that reason they are very competitive. Have an employment counselor assist you if you feel the announcement applications seem too indepth. Good luck..
- Go to your City Hall Personal Department. Ask to look at a book that has all the jobs that they hire for. In Los Angeles you can fill out an imterest card for the job you want and they will notify you when its open. I would think NJ has an on line list of jobs that are open. Google it and check.
