would like to know how far back years do government jobs do a background check?
applying for a government job. Have some blemishes on my record, no felonies.But wanted to know how far back do they check, and is it longer than five to 10 years?

- It depends on what the position is and who it is with, 10 years seems to be the normal time for a back ground check.
