Please help my 83 years old father! What shall we do?
My father, Simeon Ibayan Borja from the Philippines worked under American Contract from 1945 to 1948. He gave all his original documents to his friend Domingo Vargas (deceased) and a special power of attorney to Mr Domingo Vargs's son Jesus Vargas to process his SS refund claims from the US government because they (The Vargas) are residing in America. Since the time (15 years ago) he gave all his documents, they (The Vargas) avoided them to communicate with my father despite our efforts to contact them. The details of Mr Simeon Borja's Employment: First employment - MV Dulot Repair Ship From December 8, 1945 to December 1946. Second employment - LST 916 Vessel From 1947-1948 Thank You.

- You really need to contact the US embassy in Manila. If there's a way to assist your father they will be the ones to do it.
- Right............ word pacing and the way the words are put together mean not Phillipino. Way too many details. There are a million other mistakes. One is contacting the embassy would clear this all up. Scam.
- First off.. you're breaching your father's privacy by posting his personal details on the internet. That leaves him open to anyone stealing his identity. Second of all.. if he was daft enough to give all his original documents (they should have made a photoocopy and certified them instead) and let someone keep them for an idefinate time they they've most likely stolen his identity or mis-placed them.
